§ 7-15. Public flag burning; permit required.

  • (a)

    No person shall burn an American Flag in public in the City of Bristol unless a permit is applied for and approved by the fire marshal.

    (b)

    Each application for a permit shall be in writing and specify the place and date. Said application shall contain the name and address of the applicant, and shall not be transferable.

    (c)

    All other requirements of the City of Bristol shall be adhered to.

    (d)

    Any person or persons who fail to comply with such regulation shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable as provided in section 1-11 of the Bristol Code of Ordinances, or as otherwise provided.
