§ 10. Special elections. Municipal elections.

  • When a vote shall be required to be taken by the electors of the city under the provisions of this charter or any requirement of law, and when the city council shall deem it expedient that such vote should be taken at a different time from the municipal election provided for in section nine, the mayor shall call a special meeting of the electors of the city for the purpose of taking such vote. The call shall specify the objects for which it is to be held and shall be issued and published as provided in section nine. Such election shall be conducted in all respects as is herein provided for municipal elections.
