§ 7-27. Officer in charge.
Latest version.
The officer in charge of the bureau of fire prevention shall be appointed by the board of fire commissioners and shall be the fireman most qualified as determined by an examination held for such position in accordance with the charter provisions for promotions in the Bristol fire department. His appointment shall continue during good behavior and satisfactory service, and he shall not be removed from office except for cause after public hearing.
