§ 23-4. Abatement of public nuisances not affected by citation procedure.

  • The acts, conditions or harms prohibited by the ordinances designated in section 23-2 are specifically deemed nuisances under the Code of Ordinances. The director of public works, or his designees, may do all things necessary and proper to abate such nuisances, which abatement shall be at the expense of the owner or owners of the premises on which such nuisance exists. Such abatement shall not be precluded by any assessment, payment or judgment rendered under the citation enforcement procedure provided for herein.
