§ 18-169. Duties.

  • The duties of the Bristol Transportation Commission shall be:

    (a)

    To review, monitor and make recommendations to the mayor, city council and other appropriate agencies regarding public transportation matters, including, but not limited to, automotive, bus, rail, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic within the city;

    (b)

    To advise city agencies having responsibility for traffic, parking, and the transportation of school children and others, to the extent that these responsibilities overlap public transportation;

    (c)

    To provide a forum for discussion of public transportation issues;

    (d)

    To serve as the city's liaison with regional and state agencies on public transportation matters; and

    (e)

    To conduct other activities as may be assigned by the mayor and/or city council.
