§ 18-85. Terms; filling of vacancies.

The terms of office of the citizen members of the planning commission shall be five (5) years; and, during the month of July previous to the expiration of each term of office, the mayor shall nominate and the city council shall appoint a successor, whose term shall begin on the first day of August next succeeding and who shall serve a term of five (5) years. Vacancies shall be filled by nomination of the mayor and appointment by the city council.
